Musings on Rebellion and Discipline
While I'm more structured and value rituals and discipline, I've too often been on the other end of the spectrum.
When you are raised around fearful an negative people, the words you hear most often are; "no" an "can't". As a result I was pretty rebellious. Not in the violent traditional sense, but I ended up with a general disrespect and dislike and disdain for ANY type of authority. If I l perceived in ANY way that someone was trying to hold me back or down, I was FIERCELY defiant. It took a while, and a healthy relationship with G O D to help me understand that discipline wasn't the enemy. FEAR is.
